About Us!!

PuppyDogsnpals is a free online community dedicated to dogs! One part of our purpose is to memorialize the love, life, and memory of your amazing canine friends. The other part is to provide resources and assistance to all dog owners, although we will be specializing in hospice fosters and their hospice dogs, fosters, and rescue dogs.

Due entirely to all the brand new experiences we had with Kane, we thought it would be useful to create a helpful forum to discuss what it takes to foster a hospice dog, and then expanded the spectrum to all foster and rescue dogs. Hospice dogs are dogs who are old, ill, and essentially just need a soft place to land for the last of their time in this world. Depending on the state of the dog when he comes into your home, the difficulty of caring for a hospice can vary. This desire to help expanded to all fosters and rescues because it is this group in general that need the extra help given that fosters and rescues come from all sorts of backgrounds that have caused them to end up in a foster and/or rescue. In many situations, these dogs have a myriad of issues due to abuse and neglect, and our purpose is to create a community for people to seek help in working through these issues to prepare them for their forever homes.

Kane impacted our life more than we ever could have thought possible. When we took Kane into our home, we knew what was inevitably coming and wanted to tell his story, as well as ours. We wanted to create awareness as to the beauty of taking in an animal that has nowhere else to go, and showing how much you can change a life in a short time. We realized there is nothing out there to simply eulogize your dog. People use so many other outlets such as facebook, imgur, reddit, etc to type out beautiful eulogies to their lost ones, and we wanted a safe place for people to go to just mourn and remember their dogs in a place that will always be here for you, just as your dog was always there by your side.
